10月13日，赤峰市发改委、扶贫办联合发文，下达赤峰市2017年16万千瓦光伏扶贫建设指标分配方案，通威新能源有限公司获得敖汉旗100MW光伏扶贫指标，另外60MW光伏扶贫指标被赤峰新金色能源有限公司获得。 敖汉项目是通威目前光伏扶贫项目中单体规模最大的项目，也是内蒙古自治区2017年度光伏扶贫指标分配项目中单体规模最大的项目，是通威助力光伏扶贫、打造光伏扶贫“通威样本”又一力作。敖汉项目位于敖汉旗木头营子乡东湾子村，占地面积约3500亩，由深圳通威新能源下属子公司与敖汉旗国资管理公司共同出资成立的敖汉旗薪火新能源有限公司投资建设。据初步测算，该项目作为当地光伏产业扶贫的重点项目，建成后将为4000余户贫困人口每年增收3000元，持续20年。
